Metro-North Railroad
Commuter Council

The Metro-North Railroad Commuter Council (MNRCC) was created by the New York State Legislature in 1981 to represent the interests of Metro-North riders. The eleven volunteer members are appointed by the Governor upon the recommendation of the Bronx Borough President (1 member) and the County Executives of Westchester (5 members) and Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, and Rockland Counties (1 member each).
